We opened our Dallas branch at 8131 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy because the Metroplex is too spread out to serve well from anywhere else in Texas. Between the clay soil that shifts under outdoor units here year to year and a cooling season that runs longer than almost anywhere else we work, Dallas systems wear differently than what we see in Houston or Austin.
We’re a Lennox Premier Dealer, a status Lennox only grants to dealers who meet their own training and installation standards, and every technician who walks into your home is background checked and drug tested first.
A few problems show up on Dallas repair calls more than anywhere else we work. The clay soil under most outdoor units here shifts with the seasons, which throws a unit out of level and stresses the refrigerant line connections over a few years rather than all at once. Homes in older neighborhoods like Oak Cliff and East Dallas often still run ductwork size for equipment half as efficient as what’s available now, which shows up as an airflow complaint that isn’t really about the unit itself. And a system running flat out from May through September logs more compressor hours here than it would in a milder climate, which is why capacitors and contactors tend to fail on a shorter cycle in Dallas than elsewhere.
What that adds up to on most service calls:
Not sure if it’s worth repairing versus replacing? Our senior techs give you real numbers on both before you decide.
A repair technician who’s never actually installed a system tends to guess at root causes. Our Dallas team handles installs too, which means they know what a properly sized system is supposed to do, so it’s faster to spot when a repair is really a symptom of something installed wrong years ago, not just a worn part.
We start by asking what the system is actually doing wrong. Warm air blowing from the vents, weak airflow, or a unit that runs constantly without cooling the house usually points to a refrigerant leak, a dirty coil, or a failing compressor. In Dallas specifically, a unit that’s shifted out of level on its pad is worth checking first, since that’s often what starts the refrigerant leak in the first place.
We also listen for what the system sounds like. Grinding usually means a motor bearing is failing. Banging points to a loose part or a compressor problem. Hissing means refrigerant is escaping. Each sound tells us where to look first.
And we check how often it cycles. A system that turns on and off constantly, or one that won’t shut off at all, is usually dealing with a bad capacitor, a thermostat issue, or a system that’s been running at full load since May without a break.

Dallas summers push AC systems hard for months at a stretch. Regular maintenance catches small issues before they turn into an emergency repair call.
If a repair turns into a bigger job than expected, cost shouldn’t be what stops you from fixing it. Our financing options include:
None of these are self awarded.
Usually one of three things: low refrigerant from a leak, a dirty condenser coil that can’t release heat, or a failing compressor. A diagnostic visit tells us which one within the hour, not a guess over the phone.
Past ten years old, needing a major part like a compressor or coil, or still running on R-22 refrigerant usually points toward replacement. A newer system with one failed part is almost always worth repairing instead. We give you honest numbers on both paths.

Chill Brothers has been out for a number of issues now with thermostats and the technicians have been very helpful. Josh, our most recent tech, went above and beyond to help with our current issue along with answering more questions on how to make our system work better. He was very knowledgeable, and we will continue to work to resolve the humidity issues.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
Da'Ron was great. Explained the program and taught me something about the efficiencies of new units. Although our units are working, we've established a great relationship for the future. I'll be monitoring my gas bill this winter and look to work worth Chill Brothers in the spring.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

Absolutely exceptional service from Andrew, his partner and Mario the technician. We got told by another company that because my husband installed a new thermostat that we had fried our unit. Andrew came out to inspect and didn’t feel right about just selling us a unit when ours wasn’t at the end of its life expectancy yet. So he scheduled me with Mario who was also kind and honest and swift in his ability to come take care of us. Turns out we had been lied to by the other company, our thermostat was installed perfectly. Mario had the parts we needed and he got us cooling back off lickety split! We will definitely be using Chill Brothers in the future for all of our HVC needs!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
